Illinois Firefighters Receive Benefits for Occupational Disease Disability

Frank J. Bertuca and Richard K. Johnson, a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Amicus Committee, submitted a “Friend of the Court” brief to the Illinois Supreme Court supporting the Appellate Court’s finding that Firefighters disabled from an Occupational Disease meet the test of “line of duty” to qualify for the same medical benefits (PSEBA) as that disability pension.
